Construction site security checklist, phase by phase
A working checklist you can tick off as the job moves from site prep to closeout.

How to use this checklist
Construction theft is not random. Organized crews look for sites with staged materials, copper or heavy equipment, and they come back until the weakness is fixed. Security has to change as the job changes.

Why cameras alone are not enough
The typical setup is a fence, a sign and a camera that records. That does not deter someone who already knows nothing will happen. Cameras for construction sites need to do more than document incidents. They need to prevent them.
When to bring in monitoring
The earlier surveillance is deployed in a project, the more of the timeline is covered. Sites are often most exposed early, before power and permanent fencing are in.
